Esquirla FC were furious when Wes Goons was red carded, 26 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Esquirla FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Wes Goons hit a great ball. After having played for 27 minutes, Angelo Gelens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bruly's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelo Gelens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 67 played minutes Bruly got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Gelens. Esquirla FC's Basiel Van de Weijer got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
