In the 9th minute, Koos Peppinck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henny Jans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristóf Kásás, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gyula Görög in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henny Jans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Stephan Boezeman fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Verwachting's protests and gave Stephan Boezeman a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Verwachting's Stephan Boezeman got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, Klaas Jeuring hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Kristóf Kásás sped through Verwachting's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Henny Jans. Henny Jans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristóf Kásás in the 26th minute of play. Henny Jans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gyula Görög in the 27th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kristóf Kásás in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henny Jans saved Verwachting from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gyula Görög in the 35th minute of play forced Verwachting's goalkeeper Henny Jans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The attack was good, but when Gyula Görög in the 36th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Henny Jans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gyula Görög in the 38th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Balázs Gerebics during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Stephan Boezeman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Stephan Boezeman made the kick off in the second half. When Kristóf Kásás came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the STORM CORNER F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kristóf Kásás couldn't finish the play. Balázs Gerebics kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Gyula Görög's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henny Jans was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gyula Görög in the 58th minute of play forced Verwachting's goalkeeper Henny Jans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Verwachting's Henny Jans got control of the ball when Kristóf Kásás tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gábor Pölöskei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Verwachting's zone, Kristóf Kásás stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henny Jans came out of the goal and Kristóf Kásás tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Verwachting's Joop Heinen got a free kick in the 79th minute. STORM CORNER F.C.'s Patrik Keserű played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stephan Boezeman in the 81st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Balázs Gerebics got free with Henny Jans in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Balázs Gerebics hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Henny Jans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gábor Pölöskei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded STORM CORNER F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Verwachting.
