Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gerard Helssen took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jan De Geyter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harold Dheedene in the 7th minute of the match. Patrik Kint lost his temper 8 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in KFC Paal-Tervant fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Fauna Utd a penalty, 10 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Henri-Xavier Justus, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of KFC Paal-Tervant's Jorne Verhofstadt. 0-1. Jorne Verhofstadt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Raniers in the 14th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Karel-Jan Coryn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fauna Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KFC Paal-Tervant the free kick. In the 22nd minute, Karel-Jan Coryn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tobias Geeraerts was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 23rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 25th minute KFC Paal-Tervant were awarded a corner. Tobias Geeraerts went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Tobias Geeraerts almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Fauna Utd's Jan De Geyter did a great save. 29 minutes into the match, KFC Paal-Tervant's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Raniers came free, but Jorne Verhofstadt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 36 minutes, Florian Wortelers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Paal-Tervant's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florian Wortelers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute Lenny Massenhove shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorne Verhofstadt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fauna Utd's goalkeeper Jan De Geyter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Abel Van Meerbek managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFC Paal-Tervant's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Van Meerbek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan De Geyter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Philip Vandamme to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Manu Gyselinx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Paal-Tervant's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manu Gyselinx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Abel Van Meerbek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 56 minutes, Florian Wortelers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KFC Paal-Tervant and the Fauna Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to KFC Paal-Tervant getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Florian Wortelers hit a great ball. Jean Breugelmans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abel Van Meerbek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan De Geyter having to interfere. Jorne Verhofstadt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henri-Xavier Justus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manu Gyselinx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Jan De Geyter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to KFC Paal-Tervant getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Manu Gyselinx hit a great ball. Lenny Massenhove received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Jorne Verhofstadt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harold Dheedene kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Jonathan Raniers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Jan De Geyter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fauna Utd's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
