The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KFC Paal-Tervant. The referee gave Sporting Mambo a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Michael Armentier, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of KFC Paal-Tervant's Louis-Philippe Van Gorpt. 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Paal-Tervant's zone, Stanny Van Boekost stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Louis-Philippe Van Gorpt came out of the goal and Stanny Van Boekost tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 72 played minutes KFC Paal-Tervant got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Geeraerts. Louis-Philippe Van Gorpt acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 73rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Michael Armentier. An unexpected shot in the 74th minute by Stanny Van Boekost got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Michael Armentier scored 2-4 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Louis-Philippe Van Gorpt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sporting Mambo's Harold Engelborgh got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Waut Goons showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Van Meerbek in the 95th minute of the match. The KFC Paal-Tervant fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sporting Mambo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
