Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Genk's Ivo De Backer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Imre Cseh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Szittyák SE rege's supporters rose to their feet, but Imre Cseh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jordi Peten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 7th match minute, Genk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kobe De Graef to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute, Imre Cseh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Genk's Michiel Ooms got a free kick in the 11th minute. Csaba Tisza hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the game, Maxime Wollans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Genk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Szittyák SE rege the free kick. In the 14th minute, Maxime Wollans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Szittyák SE rege's zone, Ivo De Backer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mátyás Vadas came out of the goal and Ivo De Backer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Szittyák SE rege's Tamás Selymes came free and shot a quick shot against goal 22 minutes in the game, fortunately Jordi Peten had problems saving as it came toward the left post. 24 minutes into the match, Mihály Gerebics dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jordi Peten, 1-0. Jordi Peten had great luck who in the 30thth minute grab hold of the ball when Imre Cseh from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Vendel Bács's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jordi Peten firmly grabbed it by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Imre Cseh kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jordi Peten. That made the score 3-0 in the 44 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Imre Cseh was the one to do the kick off. When Vendel Bács came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Szittyák SE rege fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vendel Bács couldn't finish the play. Vendel Bács received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Jordi Peten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jordi Peten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Imre Cseh, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Jordi Peten stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vendel Bács's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Imre Cseh in the 64th minute of play forced Genk's goalkeeper Jordi Peten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 66 minutes of play Genk's Maxime Wollans was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Maxime Wollans hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Rafael Sarkady recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute Imre Cseh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jordi Peten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4-0 became the score in the 77th minute when Imre Cseh elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Mihály Gerebics fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordi Peten having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Genk's goal looked a bit too open when Imre Cseh came free, but Jordi Peten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute, Mihály Gerebics hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
