The audience thought a goal was coming when Rumen Tomchev got free with Robbrecht Van Eijken in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Johny Steckens fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored North Hill United's protests and gave Johny Steckens a yellow card for diving instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leo Lissens to make the kick off. When Bill Baert came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the North Hill United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bill Baert couldn't finish the play. Robbrecht Van Eijken dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leo Lissens in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geno Arsov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. North Hill United's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
