Stan Hagemans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guy Van Eeckhout in the 7th minute of the match. In the 7th match minute, Invictus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thys Hulsen to maneuver through the defense. VC zoetwater's Stan Hagemans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save VC zoetwater from getting a goal against them. Jeoffrey Wiggers was slow to take the kick. During this time VC zoetwater's players had a chance to rest. After 29 minutes, Robbrecht Caes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VC zoetwater and the Invictus FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thys Hulsen got free with Stan Hagemans in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Ief Van den Berghe took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Stan Hagemans to make any attempt to save it. Stan Hagemans came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Invictus FC's Guy Van Eeckhout. But to his dismay, Guy Van Eeckhout quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. VC zoetwater's Stan Hagemans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save VC zoetwater from getting a goal against them. In the 45th match minute, VC zoetwater was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armand Teurfs to maneuver through the defense. Invictus FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Thys Hulsen in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Thys Hulsen in the 65th minute of play forced VC zoetwater's goalkeeper Stan Hagemans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stan Hagemans came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Invictus FC's Ief Van den Berghe. But to his dismay, Ief Van den Berghe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Stan Hagemans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ief Van den Berghe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the game, Fred Van Hoeyveld was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VC zoetwater's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Invictus FC the free kick. Fred Van Hoeyveld kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Cedric Van Meerbeec hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 78 minutes into the match, VC zoetwater's goal looked a bit too open when Thys Hulsen came free, but Stan Hagemans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
