Antonio Kashukeev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frits Beuneker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. JET-M's Antonio Kashukeev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jef Savenije in the 6th minute of play. Pantaley Bekyarov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hendrik Adriaanse stood somewhat misplaced when Pantaley Bekyarov came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 9 minute. If Filip Stoyadinov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Johannes van Zwieten hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Pantaley Bekyarov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hendrik Adriaanse having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Vitan Chohadzhiev managed to get in a good position for a shot. JET-M's supporters rose to their feet, but Vitan Chohadzhiev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hendrik Adriaanse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Godfried Robben sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of De Pelgrims booed when JET-M was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Svetoslav Balachev didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Ferdi van der Schaaf had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antonio Kashukeev. JET-M's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ferdi van der Schaaf was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Vihar Petrushev's late challenge caught a De Pelgrims's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vihar Petrushev helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind JET-M's goalkeeper Antonio Kashukeev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Jef Savenije had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Johannes van Zwieten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frits Beuneker stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's goal looked a bit too open when Vitan Chohadzhiev came free, but Hendrik Adriaanse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute Pantaley Bekyarov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hendrik Adriaanse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jef Savenije sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vitan Chohadzhiev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Hendrik Adriaanse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. JET-M made a substitution. Boncho Simidchiyski replaced Svetoslav Balachev. The supporters of JET-M booed when De Pelgrims was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Aalberts didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Frits Beuneker came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the De Pelgrims fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frits Beuneker couldn't finish the play. After 94 minutes De Pelgrims's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Grisha Radin who took care of the corner kick. At last the ball reached Pantaley Bekyarov at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of De Pelgrims. 2-2. Despite being the better team, JET-M failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
