The supporters of De Pelgrims booed when ПФК Миньор Раднево was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Preslav Anzov didn't get a good kick on the ball. De Pelgrims's Frits Beuneker got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jef Savenije fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niki Betov having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's goal looked a bit too open when Tzanko Bogatev came free, but Hendrik Adriaanse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hendrik Adriaanse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tzanko Bogatev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lulcho Geshanov came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the ПФК Миньор Раднево fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lulcho Geshanov couldn't finish the play. De Pelgrims's Menno Bodde got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Frits Beuneker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tzanko Bogatev scored 0-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hendrik Adriaanse, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 47 minutes of play, ПФК Миньор Раднево's Tzanko Bogatev made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. With his leg Hendrik Adriaanse managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when ПФК Миньор Раднево's Lulcho Geshanov fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In a very dangerous position, a player in De Pelgrims fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 58th minute. Penalty! If Jef Savenije had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to De Pelgrims getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Johannes van Zwieten hit a great ball. After 98 minutes, Ferdi van der Schaaf mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the De Pelgrims and the ПФК Миньор Раднево players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match was over ПФК Миньор Раднево could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than De Pelgrims throughout the match.
