Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pieter den Hartog started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, one of Lemel SV:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lemel SV. Ferdi Dekens walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Wilco Theuws's late challenge caught a Lemel SV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilco Theuws helped the player get up and apologised. Wilco Theuws hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Mario Klompe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinhard Braamhaar, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 11th match minute, Lemel SV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sjoerd Bosschaart to maneuver through the defense. Olivier Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henk-Jan Slot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Zijdewind SC's Henk-Jan Slot in 20 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Olivier Kahn guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Lemel SV's attentive Leon Reiling managed to snatch the ball when Wilco Theuws made a throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game. Hans Degeling hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the game, Hans Degeling was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lemel SV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zijdewind SC the free kick. The supporters of Zijdewind SC booed when Lemel SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Degeling didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th match minute, Lemel SV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinhard Braamhaar to maneuver through the defense. Mario Klompe made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Reinhard Braamhaar sent off a good shot on target. Pieter den Hartog's late challenge caught a Zijdewind SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henk-Jan Slot in the 47th minute of play forced Lemel SV's goalkeeper Olivier Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Henk-Jan Slot to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Sebastiaan Schattenberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reinhard Braamhaar took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mario Klompe. Mario Klompe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Ferdi Dekens hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinhard Braamhaar in the 60th minute of play forced Zijdewind SC's goalkeeper Mario Klompe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes in the game, Reinhard Braamhaar dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Franck Tinge kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Leon Reiling managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lemel SV's supporters rose to their feet, but Leon Reiling was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mario Klompe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mario Klompe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinhard Braamhaar in the 68th minute of the match. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zijdewind SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leon Reiling was slow to take the kick. During this time Lemel SV's players had a chance to rest. Mario Klompe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bastiaan Bruintjes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reinhard Braamhaar in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mario Klompe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 84 minutes into the match, Zijdewind SC's goal looked a bit too open when Bastiaan Bruintjes came free, but Mario Klompe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zijdewind SC's goalkeeper Mario Klompe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lemel SV fans cheered their team off the field, for while Zijdewind SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
