Spectators: 158 (Terracing: 119, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pierre Hacke took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute Henri Van Houtvinc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ive De Meyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4 minutes into the game, Henri Van Houtvinc cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ive De Meyer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ive De Meyer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loui De Wulf in the 9th minute of play. After 10 minutes, Lou Snoekens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Gullegem and the SK Dreigoten players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SK Dreigoten booed when FC Gullegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lou Snoekens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pierre Hacke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Nicolaas De Cat made a huge save. When Henri Van Houtvinc fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SK Dreigoten's protests and gave Henri Van Houtvinc a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SK Dreigoten getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Henri Van Houtvinc hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute of the match SK Dreigoten got a corner. FC Gullegem's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Christof Vissenakens ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on SK Dreigoten's corner Christof Vissenakens fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ive De Meyer quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the FC Gullegem defense, Nick Bosbeeck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ive De Meyer. The FC Gullegem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ive De Meyer should have stopped the shot. A collision led to FC Gullegem getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Izak Schoolmeesters hit a great ball. Pierre Hacke's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Nicolaas De Cat skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

In the 54th minute, FC Gullegem's Lou Mampaerts seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lou Mampaerts the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Gullegem protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lou Mampaerts had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of FC Gullegem:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SK Dreigoten:s goal. The goalkeeper, Ive De Meyer, was totally fooled by SK Dreigoten's Christof Vissenakens, who 56 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Henri Van Houtvinc blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ive De Meyer having to make a save. With a little luck, FC Gullegem's Ive De Meyer got control of the ball when Loui De Wulf tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nick Bosbeeck hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Kim Verhengen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolaas De Cat having to interfere. When Roland Neys fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SK Dreigoten's protests and gave Roland Neys a yellow card for diving instead. In the 73rd match minute, SK Dreigoten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roland Neys to maneuver through the defense. SK Dreigoten made a substitution. Lionel Maenhout replaced Ludwig Swin. Gertjan Waterloos's late challenge caught a SK Dreigoten's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gertjan Waterloos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th match minute, SK Dreigoten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nick Bosbeeck to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute, Paul-Louis Delcomte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ive De Meyer was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. FC Gullegem's defense didn't have a chance, in the 97th minute, when Paul-Louis Delcomte scored to the left of an out of position Ive De Meyer, making the score, 1-5. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SK Dreigoten walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
