FC Union Weberei's Franz Kolb got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 14 minutes into the game, Ted Sleiffer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 1. FC Union Weberei the free kick. Ted Sleiffer hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Roelof Schipper hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute Maurice Tisserand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elroy Eising saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franz Kolb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raphael Gilli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rik Meijs in the 28th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Florian Bogaard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's supporters rose to their feet, but Florian Bogaard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raphael Gilli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Franz Kolb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Garry Buck hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 41st match minute, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederik Craandijk to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maurice Tisserand stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of 1. FC Union Weberei booed when Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mickael Wander didn't get a good kick on the ball.
