In the 5th minute, Camiel Hennes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Toon Dekker struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Rudy Panhuijsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ulan Bator Football Club. 8 minutes into the match, Christian Meys notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ulan Bator Football Club's Sylvan Van Den Eynde. Sylvan Van Den Eynde was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 11th minute Artur Gyselincx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudy Panhuijsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Janes Goons in the 14th minute of play forced Ulan Bator Football Club's goalkeeper Sylvan Van Den Eynde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ulan Bator Football Club getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Tim-Jan Roelants hit a great ball. Rudy Panhuijsen was a little too slow when Ronald Maeijnarts got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 1-1. If Toon Dekker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christof Loosen hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute of the match Dries Dirckx sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sylvan Van Den Eynde skillfully saved the ball. Samuel Vervoort received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Sylvan Van Den Eynde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Ulan Bator Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Meys came free, but Sylvan Van Den Eynde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Meys to make the kick off. Ulan Bator Football Club's Artur Gyselincx got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Ronald Maeijnarts had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rudy Panhuijsen. Brugge United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronald Maeijnarts was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After 57 played minutes Brugge United got a freekick which was hit by Camiel Hennes. After a rather tough play, Brugge United's Camiel Hennes got a free kick in the 59th minute. The supporters of Ulan Bator Football Club booed when Brugge United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolaas Deschrijver didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rudy Panhuijsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dylan Van hoeijveld in the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, one of Brugge United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Brugge United. After a rather tough play, Ulan Bator Football Club's Timothy De Raeijmaeker got a free kick in the 70th minute. Sylvan Van Den Eynde stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samuel Vervoort's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Samuel Vervoort struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Sylvan Van Den Eynde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brugge United. Jochen Diericx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ulan Bator Football Club booed when Brugge United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dries Dirckx didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Toon Dekker in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rudy Panhuijsen saved Brugge United from getting behind. With a little luck, Ulan Bator Football Club's Sylvan Van Den Eynde got control of the ball when Samuel Vervoort tried to sneak it across the goal line.
