In the 7th minute Christian Meys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but František Skoupý saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jochen Diericx in the 8th minute of play forced Golden Tigers's goalkeeper František Skoupý to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Karel Bendík's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rudy Panhuijsen was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Golden Tigers's zone, Arnold Wyns stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. František Skoupý came out of the goal and Arnold Wyns tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jochen Diericx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 25 minutes of play, Brugge United's Christian Meys made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. But to his dismay, Christian Meys quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Brugge United's Rudy Panhuijsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vilibald Bok in the 57th minute of play. Christian Meys succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 60th playminute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Meys got free with František Skoupý in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg František Skoupý managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Brugge United's Christian Meys fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Karel Bendík had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karel Bendík sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lennert Van Meerbeec kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karel Bendík in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rudy Panhuijsen saved Brugge United from getting behind. A collision led to Brugge United getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Dries Dirckx hit a great ball. Christian Meys could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but František Skoupý made a huge save. In the 96th minute, Sebastian Sevenans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
