Krisztián György kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 7th match minute, Szombathely Squirrels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gusztáv Győrffy to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Szilárd Csikós got free with Adolphe Van Goethem in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Szombathely Squirrels's Gusztáv Jászberényi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles-Antoine Hustinx in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Szombathely Squirrels booed when Ad Fundum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Simon Deville didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Krisztián György came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Szombathely Squirrels fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Krisztián György couldn't finish the play. Matthis Langendonck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gusztáv Jászberényi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. The supporters of Szombathely Squirrels booed when Ad Fundum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrez Van Herck didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Ferenc Jászberényi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Charles-Antoine Hustinx was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Ad Fundum's Charles-Antoine Hustinx got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Charles-Antoine Hustinx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 minutes of play, Szombathely Squirrels's Szilárd Csikós made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Matthis Langendonck got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gusztáv Jászberényi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Charles-Antoine Hustinx in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krisztián György in the 76th minute of play forced Ad Fundum's goalkeeper Adolphe Van Goethem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adolphe Van Goethem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Krisztián György, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
