Spectators: 158 (Terracing: 119, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Várdomb's Botond Bodor started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Imre Markos charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Imre Markos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 2nd match minute, Várdomb was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Imre Markos to maneuver through the defense. In the 3rd minute of the match Kevin De Wyngaert shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Róbert Markos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 8th minute Botond Bodor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nic Cox saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elemér Pálffy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Nic Cox tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brecht La Rose in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Róbert Markos saved Várdomb from getting behind. If Botond Bodor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roni Dejonckheere kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Brecht La Rose sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 30 in the game by Elemér Pálffy from a close distance when the talented Nic Cox managed to make a qualified save. Haithabu FC's players were relieved. After 31 minutes, Andrez Van Aertvinck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Haithabu FC and the Várdomb players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Haithabu FC's Andrez Van Aertvinck got a free kick in the 31st minute. Botond Bodor struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Nic Cox didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Várdomb. Attila Váradi hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Botond Bodor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Botond Bodor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the game, Sándor Szőlősi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Várdomb's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Haithabu FC the free kick. Sándor Szőlősi hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After 51 played minutes Haithabu FC got a freekick which was hit by Andrez Van Aertvinck. After 53 minutes, Ive Verhoeven mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Haithabu FC and the Várdomb players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Várdomb booed when Haithabu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ive Verhoeven didn't get a good kick on the ball. Várdomb's Kristóf Nagy got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elemér Pálffy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nic Cox read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Jules De Groote received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Róbert Markos came out and tried to block the shot, but Jules De Groote slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 58th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Várdomb's zone, Jules De Groote stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Róbert Markos came out of the goal and Jules De Groote tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miklós Gulyás during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kevin De Wyngaert placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Botond Bodor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nic Cox having to interfere. Elemér Pálffy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Nic Cox tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miklós Gulyás hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Gregoire Raeimakers kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Haithabu FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
