The supporters of Manchester United F.C. booed when Bayern München FC. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zoltán Kárpáti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raycho Chervenski kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Tamás Kertész fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bozhil Peshleevski having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as József László kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bozhil Peshleevski. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. In the 19th minute Raycho Chervenski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferenc Döbrögi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bayern München FC.'s Zoltán Kárpáti got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 27th minute, Vanko Korchev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ferenc Döbrögi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Ferenc Döbrögi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vanko Korchev in the 31st minute of play. Ferenc Döbrögi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vanko Korchev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 minutes, Raycho Chervenski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manchester United F.C. and the Bayern München FC. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Attila Nemes to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gancho Nenchov during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktor Moravecz in the 78th minute of play forced Manchester United F.C.'s goalkeeper Bozhil Peshleevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
