Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kamen Sarandev in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dmitriy Sidorov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In a very dangerous position, a player in FK Amur fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! The referee gave FC CSKA a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rafail Bumbovski, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FK Amur's Dmitriy Sidorov. 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roman Ryabin got free with Atanas Dlúgnekov in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to FC CSKA getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Tzoko Beninski hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC CSKA's zone, Aleksey Antonov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atanas Dlúgnekov came out of the goal and Aleksey Antonov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC CSKA's Atanas Dlúgnekov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nil Dergachev in the 30th minute of play. Dmitriy Sidorov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Velko Goleminov in the 32nd minute of play. Danil Bauman charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danil Bauman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FK Amur's Danil Bauman got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 36 minutes into the match, Kamen Sarandev notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FK Amur's Dmitriy Sidorov. Dmitriy Sidorov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to FK Amur getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Sergey Somov hit a great ball. In the 46th minute of the match FK Amur got a corner. FC CSKA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Danila Akinfeev ran over to the corner to take the kick. The FK Amur players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC CSKA were winning 0-2.

In the 81st minute Stoil Kastrev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dmitriy Sidorov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 89 minutes, Velko Goleminov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC CSKA and the FK Amur players grew even worse after the yellow card. Genko Marekov hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. FC CSKA's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
