After a defensive mix-up in MAIS TRADICIONAL FC's zone, André Luiz da Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelson Albuquerque came out of the goal and André Luiz da Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, MAIS TRADICIONAL FC's Abelardo Andrade got a free kick in the 11th minute. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Murillo Travassos sped through MAIS TRADICIONAL FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nelson Albuquerque. After 16 played minutes André Luiz da Costa rounded MAIS TRADICIONAL FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. With a little luck, MAIS TRADICIONAL FC's Nelson Albuquerque got control of the ball when Murillo Travassos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nelson Albuquerque stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murillo Travassos's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Jorge Couto hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Nelson Albuquerque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luiz da Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Abelardo Andrade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MAIS TRADICIONAL FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clube Atlético Paulista the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling André Luiz da Costa in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nelson Albuquerque prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A very nice done corner allowed Fred da Silva to score against Nelson Albuquerque in MAIS TRADICIONAL FC's goal. 3-0 after 36 minutes. Nelson Albuquerque made an important save on a dangerous shot by Murillo Travassos in the 39th minute. Clube Atlético Paulista's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by André Luiz da Costa in the 40th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hélio Braga to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, MAIS TRADICIONAL FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélio Travassos to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th minute Murillo Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson Albuquerque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55thth minute of the game Murillo Travassos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MAIS TRADICIONAL FC's Nelson Albuquerque was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nelson Albuquerque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murillo Travassos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Luiz da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Nelson Albuquerque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clube Atlético Paulista made a substitution. Edu Mazza replaced Jorge Couto. In the 77thth minute of the game Murillo Travassos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MAIS TRADICIONAL FC's Nelson Albuquerque was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 79 minutes into the match, MAIS TRADICIONAL FC's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Brasil came free, but Nelson Albuquerque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to MAIS TRADICIONAL FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Abelardo Andrade hit a great ball. In the 90th minute Murillo Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson Albuquerque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Murillo Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Albuquerque having to interfere. There was no doubt that Clube Atlético Paulista were the better team. Clube Atlético Paulista's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
