A collision led to Royal Knights FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Víktor Damião hit a great ball. 5 minutes into the match, Royal Knights FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fabiano Sena came free, but Luís Guilherme Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristiano das Neves was a little too slow when Fernandinho Fantini got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 17th minute, Fernandinho Fantini ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristiano das Neves was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Dedê Rossi took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Cristiano das Neves to make any attempt to save it. In the 23rd minute, Sebastião Couto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, Pinheiros Capibaras FC's goalkeeper Cristiano das Neves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Allan Andrade. Allan Andrade blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristiano das Neves having to make a save. The supporters of Pinheiros Capibaras FC booed when Royal Knights FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adilson Cardozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dedê Rossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano das Neves having to interfere. Luís Fabiano Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Luís Guilherme Novaes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luís Fabiano Sena to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Royal Knights FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juarês de Castro to maneuver through the defense. Adilson Cardozo hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Andrade in the 60th minute of play forced Pinheiros Capibaras FC's goalkeeper Cristiano das Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Pinheiros Capibaras FC defense, Dedê Rossi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristiano das Neves. The Pinheiros Capibaras FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristiano das Neves should have stopped the shot. Cristiano das Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dedê Rossi in the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Juarês de Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernandinho Fantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristiano das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dedê Rossi, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Donato Mandrak hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Pinheiros Capibaras FC's Luís Fabiano Sena got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristiano das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandinho Fantini, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. A collision led to Pinheiros Capibaras FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Luís Fabiano Baptista hit a great ball. After 92 minutes, Sidney Damião mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pinheiros Capibaras FC and the Royal Knights FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 92 played minutes Pinheiros Capibaras FC got a freekick which was hit by Sidney Damião. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pinheiros Capibaras FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Royal Knights FC.
