Alex Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute Luís Fabiano Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 5 played minutes Pinheiros Capibaras FC got a freekick which was hit by Wellington Félix. Galo do Cerrado's Cássio Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telmo Chaves in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Leonardo Tróia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 10th minute, Alex Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Pinheiros Capibaras FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pinheiros Capibaras FC's goalkeeper Dagoberto Rosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Paulo Marinho to strike the kick off in the second half. Dagoberto Rosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Paulo Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute, Alex Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dagoberto Rosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Paulo Marinho's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. A collision led to Pinheiros Capibaras FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Hermínio Moreira hit a great ball. If Telmo Chaves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Nascimento scored 2-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dagoberto Rosa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dagoberto Rosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Paulo Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 82 played minutes Pinheiros Capibaras FC got a freekick which was hit by Alex Coutinho. Carlos Alberto Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Dagoberto Rosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Paulo Marinho in the 90th minute of play forced Pinheiros Capibaras FC's goalkeeper Dagoberto Rosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 93 played minutes Pinheiros Capibaras FC got a freekick which was hit by Wellington Félix. Galo do Cerrado's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
