João Francisco Barbosa made in the 5th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Rubinho Perez however managed to control. When Rubinho Perez came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rubinho Perez couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Erik Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academia B.F.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thiago Miranda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26th minute, Valdemar Arósio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belmiro Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubinho Perez in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 35th minute Erik Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erik Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Thiago Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erik Pereira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Erik Pereira charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erik Pereira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Academia B.F. getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Erik Pereira hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Pereira in the 63rd minute of play forced FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goalkeeper Thiago Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Marcel Severo got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Rubinho Perez got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Erik Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Francisco Barbosa made in the 71st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Valdemar Arósio. Thiago Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Pereira in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Rubinho Perez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Richard Novaes hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Serginho dos Santos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 86th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. João Francisco Barbosa got a throw-in 92 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Marcel Severo.
