Spectators: 147 (Terracing: 111, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 2) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fernando Berger took the kick off in the first half of the match. Raimundo Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Fred Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 3 played minutes Renascença A.C. got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Tasso. After 6 minutes, Sandrinho Souto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pindobassu EC and the Renascença A.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th match minute, Pindobassu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandrinho Souto to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdir Gaspar in the 8th minute of play forced Pindobassu EC's goalkeeper Kaká Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kaká Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Berger, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Renascença A.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Pindobassu EC a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rubinho Miranda, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Renascença A.C.'s Fred Freire. 0-1. The audience was convinced that Miguel Trigo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fred Freire was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Trigo in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 30th minute, Norberto de Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernando Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaká Maia having to interfere. The supporters of Renascença A.C. booed when Pindobassu EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubinho Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raimundo Velasco charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raimundo Velasco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th match minute, Pindobassu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Velasco to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miguel Trigo to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pindobassu EC's goalkeeper Kaká Maia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 92 minutes, Miguel Trigo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pindobassu EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Trigo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Renascença A.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pindobassu EC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
