FLU ES fc's Cristian Paranaense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony de Carvalho in the 15th minute of play. Gonçalo Vander charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonçalo Vander the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cristian Paranaense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manoel Berger's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Cristian Paranaense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Cristian Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tony de Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. If Manoel Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The FLU ES fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Paranaense should have stopped the shot. After 69 played minutes FLU ES fc got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Moura. Cristian Paranaense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manoel Berger's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute of the match Váldson Prado shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristian Paranaense showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Alvi Verde's zone, Inácio Moura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Cearense came out of the goal and Inácio Moura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Alvi Verde eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
