Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edu Zonta started the match with the kick off. Osvaldinho Marquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Augusto Linares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Gabriel Arce in the 6th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Grêmio FBPA's Dário Paraibano. Pangarés FC's Osvaldinho Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edu Zonta in the 7th minute of play. With his leg Osvaldinho Perez managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Grêmio FBPA's Edu Zonta fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Grêmio FBPA's Osvaldinho Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guto Machado in the 17th minute of play. Joélson Guimarães's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Osvaldinho Perez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Grêmio FBPA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Claudinho Zonta in the 26th minute. Claudinho Zonta made a great header on Grêmio FBPA's corner, it was just that Pangarés FC's Osvaldinho Perez managed to reach the ball for a save. Osvaldinho Perez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edu Zonta, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 33 minutes into the game, Pangarés FC's Carlos Augusto Linares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Osvaldinho Marquez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Osvaldinho Perez was a little too slow when Joélson Guimarães got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 2-1. Joélson Guimarãess short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Osvaldinho Perez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Osvaldinho Marquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Joélson Guimarães reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Osvaldinho Perez. The goal made the score 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Augusto Linares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pangarés FC's Osvaldinho Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joélson Guimarães in the 59th minute of play. Joélson Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osvaldinho Marquez made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Dias in the 63rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Carlos Augusto Linares kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Osvaldinho Marquez. That made the score 3-2 in the 64 minute of play. Guto Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldinho Marquez having to interfere. Grêmio FBPA's Claudinho Zonta got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joélson Guimarães in the 75th minute of play forced Pangarés FC's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cacá Alcântara hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Osvaldinho Marquez came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Pangarés FC's João Dias. But to his dismay, João Dias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. Claudinho Zonta charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudinho Zonta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Claudinho Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Léo Quirino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Osvaldinho Marquez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Carlos Augusto Linares's late challenge caught a Grêmio FBPA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Augusto Linares helped the player get up and apologised. Osvaldinho Perez came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio FBPA's Joélson Guimarães. But to his dismay, Joélson Guimarães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-3.
