Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Paulão Veiga got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute José Paulo Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinei Hermes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 5th match minute, Mexilhão F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emerson Tavares to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, José Vítor Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carrossel Caipira's supporters rose to their feet, but José Vítor Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelinho Matorin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Paulo Costa hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Dudu Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Marcelinho Matorin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute Dudu Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Matorin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Hermes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Marcelinho Matorin made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Carrossel Caipira's Marcelinho Matorin threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Paulão Veiga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jonathan Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Marcelinho Matorin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Paulão Veiga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carrossel Caipira fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Dinei Hermes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edu Siqueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Francisco Mota made a kick off. Dinei Hermes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edu Siqueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rd minute José Paulo Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinei Hermes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Hermes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelinho Matorin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. The supporters of Mexilhão F. C. booed when Carrossel Caipira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Vítor Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raúl Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Mexilhão F. C.'s Marcelinho Matorin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Hermes in the 64th minute of play. Mexilhão F. C.'s João Francisco Mota pulled a muscle in his back after 75 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Raúl Godoi fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carrossel Caipira's protests and gave Raúl Godoi a yellow card for diving instead. Raúl Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Marcelinho Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Hermes in the 79th minute of the match. When José Vítor Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Carrossel Caipira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Vítor Mendonça couldn't finish the play. José Paulo Costa hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Edu Siqueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Dinei Hermes made a huge save. After 90 played minutes Carrossel Caipira got a freekick which was hit by José Vítor Mendonça. A collision led to Carrossel Caipira getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Jonathan Hermes hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Carrossel Caipira fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mexilhão F. C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
