Kléber Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexsandro Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Kléber Lira made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Hamílton Simão sent off a good shot on target. Zézinho Baptista's late challenge caught a Futbol Club RRFV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zézinho Baptista helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th match minute, Olympique Deleon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zézinho Baptista to maneuver through the defense. After 23 played minutes Futbol Club RRFV got a freekick which was hit by Fernandinho Fantini. Osvaldinho Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Lopez in the 33rd minute of play. Osvaldinho Cardozo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldão da Rocha in the 34th minute of the match. Luís Guilherme Guedes scored 0-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Osvaldinho Cardozo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dorival do Vale received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kléber Lira came out and tried to block the shot, but Dorival do Vale slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 42nd minute. Alexsandro Barreto kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Natanael Vale struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Osvaldinho Cardozo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olympique Deleon. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With his leg Osvaldinho Cardozo managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Olympique Deleon's Ronaldão da Rocha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egídio Dracena in the 57th minute of play forced Olympique Deleon's goalkeeper Kléber Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kléber Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorival do Vale in the 59th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the game, Delfim Soeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2.
