Armando Sampaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Lopez having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Antropofagia FC's Rafinha de Godoi got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 8th minute Felipe Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorginho Lopez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fellipe Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Glauco Negri hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Fellipe Toledo sped through Macaco F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Geovanni Pinho. Antropofagia FC's Jorginho Lopez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvério de Mendonça in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Macaco F.C. booed when Antropofagia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeu da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felipe Lopes struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Jorginho Lopez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Macaco F.C.. Jorginho Lopez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvério de Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Silvério de Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Macaco F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Silvério de Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorginho Lopez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silvério de Mendonça stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Glauco Negri hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the game, Rafinha de Godoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Antropofagia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Macaco F.C. the free kick. Fellipe Toledo charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fellipe Toledo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th minute, Fellipe Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silvério de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
