Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kiko Neves kicked off to start the match. Danilo Arruda made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Vítor Rodrigues in the 7th minute. Danilo Arruda was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Zé Carlos de Azevedo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zé Carlos de Azevedo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Danilo Arruda made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Vítor Rodrigues in the 21st minute. After 23 played minutes Braga Junior FC got a freekick which was hit by Kiko Neves. The audience was convinced that Kiko Neves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nestor Quintal was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. 29 minutes into the match, Independente FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kiko Neves came free, but Nestor Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Paulo Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independente FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Soares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Arruda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 40 minutes of play, Independente FC's Zé Carlos de Azevedo made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danilo Arruda was left in no man's land by his defense there! Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Zé Carlos de Azevedo made the kick off in the second half. When Danilo Vieira fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Braga Junior FC's protests and gave Danilo Vieira a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Independente FC booed when Braga Junior FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th match minute, Independente FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Soares to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 66 minutes, Iuri Domingues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Braga Junior FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iuri Domingues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Kiko Neves took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Nestor Quintal to make any attempt to save it. Kiko Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Quintal having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, José Vítor Rodrigues had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Danilo Arruda. Braga Junior FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Vítor Rodrigues was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Ezequiel Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Independente FC's Zé Carlos de Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ezequiel Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Independente FC were the better team. Independente FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
