Anísio Prestes hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 36th match minute, AC Korban was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durvalino Moreira to maneuver through the defense. Vicente Paraense hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Romário Godoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Nóbrega in the 45th minute. 48 minutes into the match, AC Korban's goalkeeper Romário Godoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronaldão Araújo. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adhemar Siqueira to make the kick off. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Abutres 2003 FDP players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
