Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Evandro Braga took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Hélio Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 5 minutes into the game, Poetass FC's Genílson Andrade nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alex Vander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Alex Vander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olavo Carioca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 played minutes SinháCity FC got a freekick which was hit by Fellipe dos Santos. SinháCity FC's Alex Vander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Azevedo in the 16th minute of play. Giovanni Rocha struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Cássio de Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SinháCity FC. Valdir Mattos might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cássio de Senna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdir Mattos ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Genílson Andrade during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 31 played minutes Poetass FC got a freekick which was hit by Genílson Andrade. In the 34th minute Genílson Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Vander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olavo Carioca to make the kick off. SinháCity FC's Evandro Braga got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 54 played minutes SinháCity FC got a freekick which was hit by Fellipe dos Santos. Cássio de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdir Mattos in the 58th minute of the match. The supporters of SinháCity FC booed when Poetass FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Saldanha didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 62 minutes of play Poetass FC's Genílson Andrade was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Poetass FC's Genílson Andrade got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Valdir Mattos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Cássio de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Poetass FC booed when SinháCity FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdir Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alex Vander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinho Saldanha in the 72nd minute of play. When Evandro Braga came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the SinháCity FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evandro Braga couldn't finish the play. After 96 played minutes SinháCity FC got a freekick which was hit by Evandro Braga. Poetass FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
