After 4 minutes, Breno Zonta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Werneck FC - DMZ and the Borussia Dortmund MZB players grew even worse after the yellow card. The tension between the Borussia Dortmund MZB and the Werneck FC - DMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Clemente Pinho hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Lago in the 20th minute of play forced Werneck FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Paulo Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sérgio Tande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Toledo in the 32nd minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund MZB's goalkeeper Pedrinho Mandrak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Borussia Dortmund MZB getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ezequiel Queirós hit a great ball. When Mário Mendes fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Werneck FC - DMZ's protests and gave Mário Mendes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd match minute, Werneck FC - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Mendes to maneuver through the defense. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marius Macovei made a kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Borussia Dortmund MZB's goalkeeper Pedrinho Mandrak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zé Paulo Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marius Macovei, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After 58 played minutes Borussia Dortmund MZB got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal Mandrak. In the 59th minute, Zé Paulo Lara sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Borussia Dortmund MZB's Pedrinho Mandrak didn't even have to move. In the 61st match minute, Werneck FC - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgílio Toledo to maneuver through the defense. Borussia Dortmund MZB's Marius Macovei got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 64 minutes of play, Werneck FC - DMZ's Caco Corrêa made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedrinho Mandrak was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristiano Furlan charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristiano Furlan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 76 played minutes Borussia Dortmund MZB got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Furlan. In the 80th minute, Sérgio Tande reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Zé Paulo Fernandez. The goal made the score 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Werneck FC - DMZ's zone, Henrique Lago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Paulo Fernandez came out of the goal and Henrique Lago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zé Paulo Fernandez made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Sérgio Tande sent off a good shot on target. In the 87th minute, Borussia Dortmund MZB's Henrique Lago ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zé Paulo Fernandez. Zé Paulo Fernandez yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. After a rather tough play, Borussia Dortmund MZB's Henrique Lago got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Borussia Dortmund MZB eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
