Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) Hamílton de Almeida started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute, Válter Barbosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jefferson Goiano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Válter Barbosa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jefferson Goiano. That made the score 2-0 in the 8 minute of play. Jefferson Goiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válter Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hélder Meireles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Giovani de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Quintal in the 15th minute of play. Jefferson Goiano was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Hamílton de Almeida capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hamílton de Almeida really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Jefferson Goiano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hamílton de Almeida in the 25th minute. Jefferson Goiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válter Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th match minute, Portuguesa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdo Coelho to maneuver through the defense. Xiboquinha FC's Jefferson Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válter Barbosa in the 36th minute of play. Hamílton de Almeida succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 38th playminute. In the 43rd minute, Hamílton de Almeida ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jefferson Goiano was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomás Quintal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hamílton de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Goiano having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Xiboquinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Válter Barbosa came free, but Jefferson Goiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd match minute, Xiboquinha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joélson Lopez to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Portuguesa booed when Xiboquinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomás Quintal hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, Válter Barbosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jefferson Goiano. Xiboquinha FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Válter Barbosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. If Hamílton de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Portuguesa's goalkeeper Giovani de Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hélder Meireles. Xiboquinha FC's Jefferson Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válter Barbosa in the 86th minute of play. Valdo Coelho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jefferson Goiano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Hélder Meireles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Giovani de Amaral having to make a save. After some careless play in the Portuguesa defense, Hélder Meireles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giovani de Amaral. The Portuguesa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giovani de Amaral should have stopped the shot. Jefferson Goiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hamílton de Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Portuguesa players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
