The supporters of Rapinantes F.C. booed when Quandus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Augusto Quirino didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Toninho Cosme fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rapinantes F.C.'s protests and gave Toninho Cosme a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th match minute, Rapinantes F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toninho Cosme to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute, Nicolas de Medeiros made a precise shot to the right of Fabiano Lucas. Rapinantes F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Fabiano Lucas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dadá Pernambucano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Diniz in the 38th minute of play forced Quandus's goalkeeper Dalmo da Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rapinantes F.C.'s Fabiano Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cacá Paraibano in the 45th minute of play. After the first half Quandus were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cacá Paraibano to strike the kick off in the second half. When Tostão Tavares came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Quandus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tostão Tavares couldn't finish the play. After 60 minutes, Bruninho Brasil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rapinantes F.C. and the Quandus players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 60 played minutes Rapinantes F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Bruninho Brasil. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tostão Tavares got free with Fabiano Lucas in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cacá Paraibano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fabiano Lucas came out and tried to block the shot, but Cacá Paraibano slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 80th minute. After 85 minutes of play, Rapinantes F.C.'s Bruninho Brasil made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dalmo da Fonseca was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cacá Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Fabiano Lucas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd match minute, Rapinantes F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beto Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. Fabiano Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cacá Paraibano, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Quandus eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
