The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute of the match, Duda de Sousa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fabiano Porto was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cristóvão Paranaense might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabiano Porto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 11th match minute, Izaltina FAD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodriguinho Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the game, Cristóvão Paranaense recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fabiano Porto. Diego Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Nunes in the 20th minute of the match. Fabiano Porto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Izaltina FAD walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
