Sidnei Britto kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After 12 minutes, Aníbal Matos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Soccer FC and the América-SC F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 12 played minutes Real Soccer FC got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal Matos. Real Soccer FC's Robert Sibold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Pedro de Moraes in the 21st minute of play. Ian Meirelles kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. A collision led to Real Soccer FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Kaká Miranda hit a great ball. Alexsandro Xavier struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Robert Sibold didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for América-SC F.C.. After some careless play in the Real Soccer FC defense, Alexsandro Xavier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robert Sibold. The Real Soccer FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Sibold should have stopped the shot. Juvenal Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Robert Sibold made a huge save. Alexsandro Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aníbal Matos to strike the kick off in the second half. When José Pedro de Moraes came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the América-SC F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Pedro de Moraes couldn't finish the play. Real Soccer FC's Robert Sibold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juvenal Seco in the 54th minute of play. Gilberto Novaes hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Robert Sibold made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexsandro Xavier in the 60th minute of play. If José Pedro de Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Real Soccer FC booed when América-SC F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, América-SC F.C.'s goalkeeper Adelino Macedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cesare Maldini. José Pedro de Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Robert Sibold tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Real Soccer FC's Sidnei Britto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Adelino Macedo. That made the score 3-1 after 79 minutes of play. Adelino Macedo made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Sidnei Britto sent off a good shot on target. Real Soccer FC's Robert Sibold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Pedro de Moraes in the 91st minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Real Soccer FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for América-SC F.C..
