The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Isaltino de Andrade took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nelsinho Munhoz. DALLAS CLUB - FGMZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind DALLAS CLUB - FGMZ's goalkeeper Nelsinho Munhoz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Silvério Mota hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Nelsinho Munhoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvério Mota in the 16th minute of play. Nelsinho Munhoz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isaltino de Andrade's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. When Kléber Diniz fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DALLAS CLUB - FGMZ's protests and gave Kléber Diniz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th match minute, DALLAS CLUB - FGMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléber Diniz to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute of the match Isaltino de Andrade sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nelsinho Munhoz skillfully saved the ball. Kléber Diniz got his second yellow card in the match during the 21st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, DALLAS CLUB - FGMZ's Kléber Diniz got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Nelsinho Munhoz didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Inter de São Paulo's Isaltino de Andrade shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaltino de Andrade in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nelsinho Munhoz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd minute Silvério Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Munhoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Silvério Mota cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Nelsinho Munhoz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 47 minutes into the match, DALLAS CLUB - FGMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério Mota came free, but Nelsinho Munhoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvério Mota to make the kick off. Douglas Abraão charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Douglas Abraão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 94 minutes, Adhemar de Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter de São Paulo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adhemar de Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaltino de Andrade in the 97th minute of play forced DALLAS CLUB - FGMZ's goalkeeper Nelsinho Munhoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Inter de São Paulo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than DALLAS CLUB - FGMZ.
