Telmo Sarmento might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over César Meirelles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Telmo Sarmento ran back to his position shaking his head. 7 minutes into the game, Samuca Sena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jumentus Rock Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AVAÍ F.C. the free kick. In the 7th match minute, Jumentus Rock Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuca Sena to maneuver through the defense. Guto de Toledo charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guto de Toledo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to AVAÍ F.C. getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Guto de Toledo hit a great ball. Ronaldo Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arlindo Prestes in the 17th minute of play. When Eusébio de Amorim fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AVAÍ F.C.'s protests and gave Eusébio de Amorim a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, Eusébio de Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute, Telmo Sarmento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eusébio de Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd match minute, AVAÍ F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nico Sergipano to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the AVAÍ F.C. defense, José Carlos Zonta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronaldo Matos. The AVAÍ F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronaldo Matos should have stopped the shot. In the 58th minute of the match Oswaldo Recife sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but César Meirelles skillfully saved the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Jumentus Rock Club's Arlindo Prestes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronaldo Matos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Jumentus Rock Club's José Carlos Zonta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ronaldo Matos. That made the score 0-3 after 63 minutes of play. In the 69th minute, Oswaldo Recife sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Jumentus Rock Club's César Meirelles didn't even have to move. In the 77th minute Arlindo Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ian Mesquita kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 81st match minute, AVAÍ F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lúcio Eger to maneuver through the defense. Ronaldo Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arlindo Prestes in the 84th minute of the match. Jumentus Rock Club's César Meirelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Eger in the 87th minute of play. César Meirelles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio de Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 91 minutes into the match, AVAÍ F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Chico Linares came free, but Ronaldo Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nelsinho Catarinense kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Ronaldo Matos made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when José Carlos Zonta sent off a good shot on target. In the 94th match minute, AVAÍ F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulão Tasso to maneuver through the defense.
