The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Naldo Mello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wellington Torres who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Naldo Mello when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Leonel Couto hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 20th match minute, Dinamo Colorado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Rivelino to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinei Goiano in the 22nd minute of play forced Dinamo Colorado's goalkeeper Inácio Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 minutes of play, Wambalamba FC's Adhemar da Fonseca made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Inácio Marquez was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Matías Teles in the 32nd minute of play forced Wambalamba FC's goalkeeper Naldo Mello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 played minutes Dinamo Colorado got a freekick which was hit by Gerson Mazza. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Wambalamba FC's goalkeeper Naldo Mello, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Inácio Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinei Goiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dinei Goiano to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Wellington Torres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Naldo Mello. Wambalamba FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wellington Torres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The supporters of Wambalamba FC booed when Dinamo Colorado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Mercado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Dinamo Colorado's Gabriel Mercado got a free kick in the 63rd minute. If Hamílton Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Wambalamba FC's Adhemar da Fonseca got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Dinamo Colorado's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wambalamba FC the free kick. Roberto Rivelino kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Adhemar da Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Inácio Marquez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wambalamba FC. In the 86th minute, Angelo Damião made a precise shot to the right of Naldo Mello. Wambalamba FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. A collision led to Dinamo Colorado getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Gerson Mazza hit a great ball. Inácio Marquez was a little too slow when Adhemar da Fonseca got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 2-5.
