Adhemar da Fonseca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Orlando Guimarães made a huge save. In the 17th minute, Isaltino Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute, Dinei Goiano sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and EoDu Uai Sôccer's Orlando Guimarães didn't even have to move. Wambalamba FC's Naldo Mello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tales Costa in the 21st minute of play. Orlando Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinei Goiano in the 25th minute of play. Isaltino Vargas's late challenge caught a Wambalamba FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
