Dinei Goiano started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Dinei Goiano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Paulo Zonta was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 7th minute of the match Wambalamba FC got a corner. Excelência de Luxe's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dinei Goiano ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Dinei Goiano almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Excelência de Luxe's João Paulo Zonta did a great save. Eliseu França fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naldo Mello having to interfere. 10 minutes into the game, Tiago Gabriel Fernandez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wambalamba FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Excelência de Luxe the free kick. The supporters of Excelência de Luxe booed when Wambalamba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Gabriel Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseu França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute, one of Excelência de Luxe:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Excelência de Luxe. João Paulo Zonta had in the 18thth minute some difficulties stopping Dinei Goiano's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Leonel Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dinei Goiano scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Paulo Zonta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adhemar da Fonseca in the 28th minute of play forced Excelência de Luxe's goalkeeper João Paulo Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilson de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Naldo Mello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Paulo Zonta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinei Goiano in the 37th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vinícius Hoffmann during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th match minute, Excelência de Luxe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinícius Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Wambalamba FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Tiago Gabriel Fernandez hit a great ball. Claudinho Travassos kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Wilson de Godoi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Naldo Mello having to make a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Wambalamba FC's Naldo Mello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Mangueira in the 55th minute of play. Naldo Mello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson de Godoi in the 62nd minute of play. Hamílton Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Paulo Zonta having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Adhemar da Fonseca dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of João Paulo Zonta, 0-3. João Paulo Zonta made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Dinei Goiano sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Excelência de Luxe's zone, Adhemar da Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Paulo Zonta came out of the goal and Adhemar da Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 82 minutes, Eliseu França mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Excelência de Luxe and the Wambalamba FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Wambalamba FC booed when Excelência de Luxe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseu França didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Paulo Zonta made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Dinei Goiano sent off a good shot on target.
