Spectators: 154 (Terracing: 116, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Joinville Esporte Clube's Célio Mangueira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the game, Célio Mangueira lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Júnior Cardozo. After a rather tough play, FC BARCELONA's Luizão Varela got a free kick in the 8th minute. Célio Mangueiras short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Júnior Cardozo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 20 minutes, Cássio Mello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC BARCELONA and the Joinville Esporte Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th minute, one of FC BARCELONA:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC BARCELONA. Célio Mangueira placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Célio Pereira hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Ricardo Arantes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joinville Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Arantes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júnior Cardozo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alex Pereira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 47th minute, Jairo Schmidt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alex Pereira was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1.

After having played for 53 minutes, Célio Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Joinville Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Célio Mangueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 57 minutes into the game, José Paulo Sousa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Joinville Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC BARCELONA the free kick. After a rather tough play, Joinville Esporte Clube's José Paulo Sousa got a free kick in the 58th minute. Luizão Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Patrick Domingues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricardo Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Célio Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the game, Luizão Varela recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alex Pereira. Luizão Varela showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. After 70 played minutes Joinville Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Gilvan Lopes. If Júlio Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Pereira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luizão Varela in the 73rd minute of the match. Júlio Pena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Alex Pereira made a huge save. In the 81stth minute of the game Célio Mangueira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC BARCELONA's Júnior Cardozo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joinville Esporte Clube were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after FC BARCELONA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Célio Mangueira took the corner. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Hélio Furtado got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 5-2. 83 minutes into the match. Alex Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luizão Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Célio Mangueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Joinville Esporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. Alex Pereira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luizão Varela showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 6-3 in the 96 minute of play.
