Spectators: 154 (Terracing: 116, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Deivid Vinhas started the match with the kick off. Emílio Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruy Loureiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Agostinho Tasso showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. Leonardo Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernani Cerezo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deivid Vinhas in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Olavo Maranhense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Montevideo defense, Célio Cardoso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruy Loureiro. The Montevideo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruy Loureiro should have stopped the shot. Célio Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Loureiro having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, Montevideo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Furlan to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute Deivid Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernani Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Montevideo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Luiz Eduardo Dracena scored to the left of an out of position Ruy Loureiro, making the score, 3-0. Luiz Eduardo Dracena hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Ruy Loureiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Célio Cardoso went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Oséas Pirani's late challenge caught a Montevideo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oséas Pirani helped the player get up and apologised. Oséas Pirani kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Sipo EC defense, Tadeu Correia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernani Cerezo. The Sipo EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernani Cerezo should have stopped the shot. Ruy Loureiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Agostinho Tasso showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 6-1 in the 48 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Célio Cardoso made a kick off. In the 65th minute Leonardo Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernani Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tadeu Correia fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montevideo's protests and gave Tadeu Correia a yellow card for diving instead. After 66 played minutes Montevideo got a freekick which was hit by Tadeu Correia. Zé Carlos Tróia charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zé Carlos Tróia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Montevideo getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Zé Carlos Tróia hit a great ball. Célio Cardoso took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruy Loureiro. Ruy Loureiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. After a rather tough play, Sipo EC's Luiz Eduardo Dracena got a free kick in the 84th minute. With a little luck, Sipo EC's Ernani Cerezo got control of the ball when Deivid Vinhas tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Deivid Vinhas came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Montevideo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Deivid Vinhas couldn't finish the play. In the 97th match minute, Sipo EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Célio Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sipo EC had played much better football throughout.
