The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Relyn Futebol Clube's Juan Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Silva in the 5th minute of play. When Virgílio Silva fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sagarana Clube's protests and gave Virgílio Silva a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sagarana Clube's Virgílio Silva got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the last second Jean Leite throw himself and got hold of the ball when Luís Paulo de Barros in the 8thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. With an all-out effort, Relyn Futebol Clube's Jean Leite threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luís Paulo de Barros, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Juan Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidnei Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The Sagarana Clube fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Sagarana Clube's Sidnei Trigo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Relyn Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Luís Paulo de Barros hit a great ball. Juan Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidnei Trigo in the 23rd minute of play. Jean Leite made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Luís Paulo de Barros sent off a good shot on target. In the 30th minute, Franklin Aguiar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Vieira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Jean Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laércio Vianna in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidnei Trigo in the 36th minute of play forced Relyn Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Juan Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Davi Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the game, Tostão Goiano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Juan Vieira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luís Fernando Almeida could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Jean Leite made a huge save.

The crowd rose to their feet as Sidnei Trigo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Juan Vieira. That made the score 0-4 in the 56 minute of play. In the 66th minute Luís Fernando Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Sagarana Clube's Sidnei Trigo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Edu Ramos's late challenge caught a Relyn Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edu Ramos helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Relyn Futebol Clube booed when Sagarana Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edu Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Luís Fernando Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Relyn Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Fernando Almeida couldn't finish the play. Franklin Aguiar's late challenge caught a Relyn Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franklin Aguiar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th match minute, Sagarana Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franklin Aguiar to maneuver through the defense. Jean Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Paulo de Barros in the 86th minute of play. With a little luck, Relyn Futebol Clube's Juan Vieira got control of the ball when Sidnei Trigo tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Luís Paulo de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Paulo de Barros in the 94th minute of play forced Sagarana Clube's goalkeeper Jean Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sagarana Clube played a much better game than Relyn Futebol Clube and deserved their victory. The Relyn Futebol Clube players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
