Spectators: 151 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) Deivid Vinhas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience was convinced that Deivid Vinhas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Murilo Paiva was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Naldo Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Loureiro having to interfere. Murilo Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deivid Vinhas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute Kiko Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruy Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Deivid Vinhas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 28 minutes into the game, Donato Prestes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ruy Loureiro. Donato Prestes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Deivid Vinhas took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Murilo Paiva. Murilo Paiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Zé Carlos Tróia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Murilo Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Murilo Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deivid Vinhas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruy Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Montevideo's Ruy Loureiro got control of the ball when Tadeu do Vale tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 40th minute, Tadeu do Vale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Montevideo's Bruninho Trigo got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Emílio Bittencourt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Curiphila Eagles players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Montevideo were winning 1-2.

Deivid Vinhas might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Murilo Paiva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Deivid Vinhas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 54th minute, Donato Prestes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ruy Loureiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 65th minute, Donato Prestes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Curiphila Eagles booed when Montevideo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deivid Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th match minute, Montevideo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deivid Vinhas to maneuver through the defense. Montevideo's Ruy Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Prestes in the 74th minute of play. A collision led to Montevideo getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Marco Furlan hit a great ball. Curiphila Eagles's Murilo Paiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Curiphila Eagles from getting a goal against them. In the 81st minute, Naldo Costa made a precise shot to the right of Ruy Loureiro. Montevideo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. In the 83rd minute, Bruninho Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Deivid Vinhas came free with the goalkeeper in the 89th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Murilo Paiva could save by the left post. If Donato Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruy Loureiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Prestes, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Kiko Mattos scored 4-2 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruy Loureiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Montevideo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Curiphila Eagles.
