The supporters of SANTOS Indaiatuba F.C. booed when Proteu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gugu Tasso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SANTOS Indaiatuba F.C.'s zone, Antônio Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Augusto Velasco came out of the goal and Antônio Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Augusto Velasco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gugu Tasso went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. João Augusto Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enéas Pontes in the 13th minute of play. Gugu Tasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dida Mazza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelinho Antunes's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. In the 24thth minute of the game Gugu Tasso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SANTOS Indaiatuba F.C.'s João Augusto Velasco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SANTOS Indaiatuba F.C.'s zone, Enéas Pontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Augusto Velasco came out of the goal and Enéas Pontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Augusto Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gugu Tasso in the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Bernardinho Corrêa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 33 minutes, Marcelinho Antunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SANTOS Indaiatuba F.C. and the Proteu players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd match minute, SANTOS Indaiatuba F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelinho Antunes to maneuver through the defense. Eusébio Sanches kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute of the match Gugu Tasso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but João Augusto Velasco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bernardinho Corrêa kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. João Augusto Velasco came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Proteu's Enéas Pontes. But to his dismay, Enéas Pontes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Gugu Tasso made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Bernardinho Corrêa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. João Augusto Velasco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gugu Tasso got free with João Augusto Velasco in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Enéas Pontes took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Augusto Velasco. João Augusto Velasco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Bernardinho Corrêa struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. João Augusto Velasco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Proteu. After 89 played minutes SANTOS Indaiatuba F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Didi Andrade. Gugu Tasso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The SANTOS Indaiatuba F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Proteu were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
