Cássio Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Maestro in the 35th minute of the match. Luiz Eduardo Bittencourt's late challenge caught a ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Eduardo Bittencourt helped the player get up and apologised. The ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Limoeiro-PE FC were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. André Luís Nunes was the one to do the kick off. One of ZONA NOROESTE - SANTOS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Limoeiro-PE FC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 68 minutes, Limoeiro-PE FC's Lino Maestro got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Cássio Gaspar. Durval Cavalcante kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Lino Maestro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cássio Gaspar firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 75th minute, Augusto Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cássio Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico Love in the 100th minute of play.
