Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Luís Meirelles started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Dedê Trigo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardo Soeiro's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. When Alberto Sena fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leões do Sul 53's protests and gave Alberto Sena a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th minute, Alberto Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leões do Sul 53's Egídio Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Silveira in the 13th minute of play. Tarcisio Baptista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Dedê Trigo made a huge save. Tarcisio Baptista received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dedê Trigo came out and tried to block the shot, but Tarcisio Baptista slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 25th minute. Josué Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Juventudes Libertárias's goalkeeper Dedê Trigo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Sena. Dedê Trigo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tarcisio Baptista in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute Luís Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Sena hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, Leões do Sul 53's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Meirelles came free, but Egídio Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st match minute, Leões do Sul 53 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Soeiro to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Leões do Sul 53's Tarcisio Baptista slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dedê Trigo. That made the score 2-2 after 43 minutes of play. Diamantino Reis's late challenge caught a Leões do Sul 53's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diamantino Reis helped the player get up and apologised. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tarcisio Baptista made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Leões do Sul 53 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldinho de Castro to maneuver through the defense. Luís Meirelles received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Egídio Reis came out and tried to block the shot, but Luís Meirelles slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 56th minute. Tarcisio Baptista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernardo Soeiro's late challenge caught a Juventudes Libertárias's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardo Soeiro helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Leões do Sul 53 getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Bernardo Soeiro hit a great ball. Diamantino Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juventudes Libertárias's Dedê Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Soeiro in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Juventudes Libertárias's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinho Arósio came free, but Dedê Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Leões do Sul 53's Júnior Pirani got a free kick in the 70th minute. After 72 minutes of play, Juventudes Libertárias's Cido Oliveira made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Egídio Reis was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luizão Sarmento during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Leões do Sul 53 booed when Juventudes Libertárias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizão Sarmento didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 76 played minutes Juventudes Libertárias got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Renato Maciel. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Luís Meirelles took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Egídio Reis to make any attempt to save it. If Cido Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With his leg Egídio Reis managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Juventudes Libertárias's Diamantino Reis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mané Corrêa charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mané Corrêa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mané Corrêa hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the match, Tarcisio Baptista had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dedê Trigo. Juventudes Libertárias's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tarcisio Baptista was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-5.
