Vicente Travassos made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Cléber Cosme sent off a good shot on target. After 5 played minutes Nonatos United got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Rossi. Fernando Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Travassos having to interfere. Nonatos United's Vicente Travassos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Nonatos United from getting a goal against them. In the 8th minute, Lino de Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Wesley Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th match minute, Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Fontes to maneuver through the defense. Conrado Rossi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Joel Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cléber Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Travassos having to interfere. Cléber Cosme struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Vicente Travassos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ. 23 minutes into the match, Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Rossi came free, but Joel Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baltazar Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the game, Nonatos United's Luís Fábio Faria nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joel Rossi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Baltazar Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Fábio Faria was the one to do the kick off. Wesley Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Rossi having to interfere. Joel Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wesley Sousa in the 59th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the game, Eduardo Freire was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nonatos United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Capixaba in the 62nd minute of play forced Nonatos United's goalkeeper Vicente Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Baltazar Marinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nonatos United the free kick. After 64 played minutes Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ got a freekick which was hit by Baltazar Marinho. After 69 played minutes Nonatos United got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Freire. Cléber Cosme scored 2-1 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vicente Travassos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Many of Nonatos United's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Nonatos United may have spent more time on the ball, but Nabucodonosor E.C. FPRMZ were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
