Wilson Favoretto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Thiago Couto made a huge save. Toninho Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albertinho Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toninho Trancoso came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio Prudente's Albertinho Perez. But to his dismay, Albertinho Perez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Marquinhos Meirelles hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Favoretto in the 12th minute of play forced Grêmio Prudente's goalkeeper Thiago Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marquinhos Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Thiago Couto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The nice shot from Wilson Favoretto in the 21stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Thiago Couto had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Marquinhos Meirelles charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marquinhos Meirelles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th match minute, SC Bertioga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marquinhos Meirelles to maneuver through the defense. When Grêmio Prudente's Albertinho Perez in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thiago Couto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wilson Favoretto went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Thiago Couto was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Carlos Alberto Lopes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Carlos Alberto Lopes really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Bebeto Pitta was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 39 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the game, one of SC Bertioga:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 45th match minute, SC Bertioga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Albertinho Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Albertinho Perez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. SC Bertioga's Toninho Trancoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save SC Bertioga from getting a goal against them. Toninho Trancoso made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Mauro Mattos sent off a good shot on target. SC Bertioga's Toninho Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertinho Perez in the 59th minute of play. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Grêmio Prudente's goalkeeper Thiago Couto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thiago Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 78 minutes into the match, SC Bertioga's goal looked a bit too open when Guto Lucas came free, but Toninho Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Grêmio Prudente's goalkeeper Thiago Couto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Grêmio Prudente's Mauro Mattos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Toninho Trancoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. SC Bertioga's Toninho Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertinho Perez in the 92nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Bertioga's Marquinhos Meirelles got a free kick in the 94th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
